Principal's Welcome to new Reception Children and Parents
25th May 2021
Dear Parents/ Carers,
On behalf of Staff, Governors, children and parents, it gives me great pleasure in extending a very warm welcome to you and your child as new members of Ogbourne CofE Primary School family. Thank you for choosing us as the primary school where your child will begin their educational journey.
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place here at Ogbourne for this September and we are so looking forward to meeting you all. We want this to be the beginning of a happy secure and successful time for you and your child. Our aim is to develop a supportive partnership where we can all work together in order to
realise our school vision that “every child is a candle waiting to be lit”.
We recognise that starting school can be an anxious time for parents and children alike, even more so in the current context. If there is anything you need, please ask.
If your child has been offered a place at our school, our Reception Teacher - Mrs Cat Ramsden - will make contact with you soon, inviting you in for an initial visit to school during June.
Throughout Term 6, Mrs Ramsden will also start visiting Little Dragons on a regular basis to read stories to, and meet, the children; Mrs Crawshaw from Little Dragons will also start visiting our school in order to help us learn about the children. Mrs Ramsden will make visits to those children who are based in other childcare settings.
We will also be inviting your child in to school for further visits during July.
We look forward to seeing you all soon, in the meantime enjoy a relaxing, safe and healthy summer,
Mr R. Smith - Principal

School Cool Milk
Free milk is available for all children aged under five in school, funded by the UK Government. In our school, this milk is provided by Cool Milk, the UK's leading school milk supplier. We will register your child for their free school milk on your behalf by providing Cool Milk with your child's name and date of birth. This removes the requirement for you to complete a registration process.
Free milk will continue until the Friday before your child's fifth birthday. You will then be able to contact Cool Milk directly to pay a subsidised rate for your child if you would like them to continue to receive milk.
All information handled by Cool Milk is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
